I am not saying this is the only way to do it or that if you don’t use the materials I use you are in error. In this tutorial I will be telling you how I scratch-build buildings and the materials I use. I understand working with plastic, so plastic is my material of choice.

When I was a kid I built and painted plastic models. I work in plastic because plastic is what I am comfortable with. This is not an anti-cardstock or anti-wood tutorial. I have seen wonderful scratch-built structures done in cardstock and wood. Before I get involved in the actual tutorial, let me establish a few things from the beginning. I’m not inclined to doing a video, but I’ve decided to give the written tutorial a shot. I have received a number of requests to provide a video workshop or written tutorial on using Duplos as the inner core or skeleton of my scratch-built 28mm buildings.
